About Us

Our Mission: Transparency and Healing

Westminster Abbey and the Seminary of Christ the King are firmly committed to transparency, accountability, and healing. We acknowledge the profound harm caused by past abuse and offer our deepest apologies to all victim/survivors.

We have established this website to provide public access to information regarding the civil action brought by D.H., a former student of the Seminary of Christ the King’s high school program. The case concerned sexual abuse committed by Placidus Sander, OSB, during the late 1970s, and was settled in May 2024.

In furthering our commitment to restorative justice, this platform houses all files concerning Placidus Sander that were disclosed during litigation. These documents include personal letters, medical records, legal documents, and other materials documenting his life and the allegations against him.

Our purpose is to foster understanding of these events while supporting the healing journey of all affected individuals.
